Hi!! happy Saturday to everyone!. Here's another of my designs which I made for my sister's birthday. One day this summer while I was having breakfast, an idea slipped into my mind, so I decided to take a piece of paper & a pencil, and started capturing the image I had stuck in my mind, until I got something alike to what I was picturing Basically the basis of my drawing were EYES. I wanted to show something different, symbolic, so I linked it to life as a metaphor, comparing life to eyes. Taking into action the well known proverb and phrase quoted by so many - 'Eyes are the windows to the soul'. It may be a universal truth that eyes are a crucial part of our bodies because they reflect people's feelings, personality and so other things that are enough to tell what one is like. Besides, day and night are both involved in a parallel way to indicate some contrast in the painting (yellow + red for the brightness of the day/ blue + green for the night) Finally, other meaning I thought of was the one related to the phrase that encompasses the 4 pieces of coloured cardboard : D ('live life like nobody is watching') which has to do with living your life as you want, with your successes and failures, but not pretending to be someone different just for being cooler or simply liking others (that is why I incorporated blinds in the night cards, to explain that it has no point to hide away from who you actually are & the things you like to do. It's perfect to be yourself) So there is my description of this painting. Thanks a lot for reading!.Let me know what ya think please. It would be amazing to know all kind of opinions, they are more than welcome. See you soon guys, have a nice weekend!! Love, A x
